Engineering project management in East Texas

Practical support to define the work, coordinate project decisions, and respond to construction questions.

For owners, contractors, and engineering project teams

A scope built around your project

A successful project needs more than a drawing package. Scope boundaries, bid comparisons, timing, and field questions all require coordination. Davis Engineering provides project management support that can be tailored to the owner’s needs and the specific engineering and construction responsibilities involved.

Project scoping

We help clarify the objective, available information, deliverables, and project boundaries. An early scope review can identify missing inputs and coordination needs before the work is priced or scheduled. Share what you want to accomplish and which decisions are currently blocking progress.

Bid solicitation & evaluation

Comparable bids start with a clear description of the work. Support can include preparing agreed scope information and reviewing proposals for scope differences, exclusions, and questions that need clarification. Pricing and contracting decisions remain with the owner unless a specific additional responsibility is agreed.

Master schedule coordination

Schedule work identifies major activities, dependencies, and information needed to move the project forward. Tell us the design, procurement, construction, and operating constraints. A schedule is a coordination tool and should be updated when project conditions or agreed milestones change.

Field observation

Periodic visits can document agreed aspects of the work visible at the time of observation. The scope establishes the intended purpose, milestones, and reporting. Field observation does not replace continuous supervision, contractor quality control, or responsibilities held by other project parties.

RFI support

Clear requests for information help resolve design and construction questions. Support can include reviewing the question, identifying the relevant documents, and coordinating the appropriate response within the agreed scope. Changes to design, cost, or schedule should be documented and reviewed by the responsible project parties.

What to send us

A few useful details help us discuss the engineering scope and provide a project-specific proposal.

  • Project description, location, and current stage
  • Available drawings, scopes, and contractor proposals
  • Key deadlines and operating constraints
  • Specific coordination gaps or decisions needing support

The proposal confirms the services, deliverables, fee, and schedule. Additional investigation, field visits, or revisions are identified separately when needed.

Common questions

Can you support only part of a project?

Yes. Support can focus on scoping, bids, field observation, or another defined need rather than full project management.

Does this replace the general contractor?

No. The proposal identifies the engineering and coordination responsibilities included. Contractor responsibilities remain distinct.

Can project management accompany engineering design?

Yes. We can discuss a coordinated proposal that identifies the design deliverables and the additional project support needed.

Start with your project.

Send the location, available documents, and the decision you need to make. We will discuss the scope and next steps.
